Hello,
if you have pursued diploma and you are going for engineering then you will join in 2nd year only. if you go for NIT and IIT then only you will get admission in 1st year.
COEP accepts JEE and state entrance exams too to intake candidates so you can appear any one or both to take an admission.
JEE application for january month is already completed. you can apply for april month for which the form will be released in march month.
for state board entrance it will be released by the end of december.
you can visit the official webpage of the entrance board. they upload all the details in the form of notice in the webpage.
