What is the significance / relevance of 'State of Eligibility' in the NEET 2020 form. If a candidate is resident of U.P. and has passed 11th and 12th from Delhi state and has mentioned Delhi as State of Eligibility then can he can also participate in the U.P. state quota counselling.
Santosh, NTA did release a notification stating that Candidates can fill any State against their State of Eligibility in the NEET application form and that will not change their eligibility for the other State that they are eligible. For example, if you belong to UP and hold its domicile, you can select UP as the State of Eligibility in the NEET application form. But that doesn't mean that you will not qualify for Delhi's Institutional Quota. By the virtue of studying your 11th and 12th in Delhi, you are also eligible for Delhi's State Counselling. You can also participate in Delhi's State Counselling. Because you can only mention one State in the State of Eligibility column NTA mentioned that it is still fine and that doesn't determine anything. Hope this clarifies things.
