I'm strictly looking forward to join Indian institute of space sciences and technology... and dream of achieving a goal in that stream... I wish to gather all knowledge I can and produce something new..... please help me... are u an astronomy student???
Ok. No problem. No I am not any student.
Generally, most positions require a PHD degree in the field of astronomy which generaly takes 5-7 years to complete.
So you can get your courses done in astrophysics, stellar, planetary physics, galaxies, cosmologu.
Maths and Computer science are also emphasized.
After doing your phd you will have to do a postdoctoral research poistions which can tae 2-3 years to complete.
Also in your UG, you can choose physics or astronomy in your gradutaion degree.
Later in your Phd you can chow the reserach work or thesis in the topic mentioned above.
Good Luck.
