Infrastructure : Some of the classrooms in the college are a bit old, especially the mechanical block but are very clean. Most of the classrooms are modern and have good ventilation as well as benches. A new block is under construction which has a centralised air-conditioning unit and modern facilities. Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus, and a well-built library is present. Plenty of canteens are available which provide good food. I stay in the college hostel, and it is the best you can get in terms of freedom and quality of living. The rooms and food in the hostel are average, but the hostel is a bit expensive.

Faculty : Faculty members in our college are the same as in any other college. You have some exceptionally good teachers, some are average, and some are below average. But in any course, the effort must be put in by the students, and there is a lot of freedom provided for that in the college. The syllabus is also periodically revised to keep up with industry standards.

RV College of Engineering (RVCE) is considered as one of the most reputed engineering college in Karnataka as well as the whole of India.

To get a free seat at RVCE, you have to get a good rank in KCET or ComedK. By a good rank, I mean to say you have to be in the top 1000.

The fees for KCET and ComedK is different.

ComedK fees is usually 1L more than the KCET fees. This year (2018) fee for ECE department for KCET was around ₹30000 and for ComedK it was approximately 145000.

The management seat price varies with respect to the department. Usually 11L is taken as donation and approximately 5-7L per annum is the fees. This varies every year and various departments as said earlier.
