What's the processor for getting the admission in Jesus & Marry college, I have not register on there website

Yes, Stephens and Jesus and Mary have different admission process compared to the rest of the Delhi university because of they have been regarded minority (Christian) status college. You can find their forms from their official college website.

Stephen's will soon release their admission forms by 21st may. Directly go to the website and fill the form, which will be followed by further shortlisting for interview and written test.

For Jesus and Mary first apply in the common admission portal of DU and then fill the form provided on the JMC website and provide the registration number as that of the common DU admission portal.

Jesus and Mary College is a premiere women-only college affiliated to the University of Delhi located in New Delhi. The college awards bachelor's degrees in commerce, arts and mathematics. The college offers honors degree in : Elementary education, History, Sociology, Political Science, Hindi, English, Economics, Psychology, Math and Commerce. The college is located in Chanakyapuri in New Delhi.

The college was founded by Religious of Jesus and Mary, a Roman Catholic Congregation founded by St. Claudine Thevenet or known as Mary of St. Ignatius in Lyon, France in 1818. Convent of Jesus and Mary, Delhi was established in 1919, and thereafter a college for women in Delhi and the college was founded in July 1968. At the time of opening, the college offered only two degrees: English and BA, but quickly expanded to offer degrees in other subjects.

Jesus and Mary College is one of the few colleges in the University of Delhi whose student body is not affiliated with Delhi University Students Union.

When people tell you that JMC is a lot like school, they are not wrong. The teachers are firm with attendance to say the least. Proxy seems like an alien concept to most students at JMC. Teachers are strict and the classes happen almost like they do in school. But most of the teachers are very learned,dedicated and eager to impart knowledge and have a genuine concern for the students.

Free lectures or lectures that are bunked are usually spent at Taj CCD, drinking coffee while chatting away with friends and enjoying the open sky above, there is a charm to that place,which can’t be described. The other place is obviously Satya Niketan with it’s plethora of cafes, serving delicious food, which is also easy on the wallet. When time is less, there is the canteen obviously and our sev puri/bhel puri bhaiya deserves a special mention. During winters you will find quite a few students soaking up the sun in the JMC lawns. I have fond memories of playing basket ball and Kho-kho during these times. The amphitheatre is ‘the’ meeting spot for every group, most student decisions big or small are often taken here.

There are college societies that will allow you to pursue your passion or even discover new talents. They will work you and challenge you, but give you friends and experiences to cherish. The authorities are strict and permission for society events is often obtained with some difficulty. Like every other college there is last minute panic for assignment submission,few more internal assessment marks and completing the NSS hours, before the exams.

Teachers are strict and the classes happen almost like they do in school. But most of the teachers are very learned,dedicated and eager to impart knowledge and have a genuine concern for the students.

You will meet great people and make great friends. You will learn to be more independent. You will realise that an all girls college is really not that different from a coed one and just learn to smile when people ask you for the 20th time“all girls? Does it get boring?” and most importantly the life here will give you something to look back at with nostalgia.
