Hi,
JEE mains is the exam which considered as the base for admissions to NIT. The AIR rank that you get will decide which NIT you will get into. JEE advanced is for admission to IITs.

Jee mains only. Even if you have qualified jee advance but your AIR is far away from 11k then you will get admission in NITs on the basis of of your jee mains AIR only.
