Law program is of two types, first is integrated one based on 10+2 qualification for a duration of five years in many forms such as BA-LLB, BBA-LLB,BCom-LLB.While the three year duration LLB is based on graduation degree.
Eligibility of integrated law program is having passed 10+2 from a recognized board with minimum 50% aggregate, there's relaxation of 5% in case of reserved category.
Entrance test conducted as as follows-
- CLAT, conducted by 14 NLUs across India
- AILET, conducted by National Law University, Delhi
- LSAT scores are accepted by many law schools such as Jindal Global Law School, Sonepat
- SET, by Symbiosis Law Schools Pune & Noida
Next comes the three year LLB program for which eligibility criteria is candidate needs to passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with 45% marks and in case of reserved category it's 40%. Universities like DU and BHU require minimum 50% marks while universities like Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Meerut require only 45% marks in graduation.
