Admissions to the institute’s BArch/BPlan programmes is based on candidate’s performance in JEE Main. Thus, besides fulfilling the eligibility criteria, candidates also need to comply with the eligibility criterias of JEE Main and JoSAA which includes aspects like the candidate’s DOB, year of appearance in Qualifying Examination (QE), number of subjects in QE, number of attempts etc.

BArch/BPlan admissions at SPA Vijayawada is based on JEE Main ranks and JoSAA counselling.

The institute’s UG admission process involves two steps:

Step 1: To begin with, candidates need to register, appear and qualify JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Mains. Clearing this exam is vital for admissions.

Step 2: Only those aspirants who clear JEE Main will be able to appear for JoSAA Counselling. Aspirants can register and attend JoSAA’s (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) seat allotment process.

The admission criteria for various courses in School of Planning and Architecture, Vijayawada is

• For admission in B.Arch and B.Plan, the candidates must have passed 10+2 with minimum 75% marks in aggregate from any recognised Board.
• Selection criteria in B.Arch and B.Plan is based on the entrance exams like JEE Main or JoSAA.
• Admission in M.Arch and M.Plan requires a graduate degree in Architecture and Planning respectively with minimum 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on 10 point scale.
• Ph.D admission requires a master’s degree in related subjects with 55% marks from any recognised University/ Institution.
• Selection in M.Arch and M.Plan is done on the basis of GATE entrance exam.
• Selection in Ph.D. is based on the GATE/ UGC-NET / CSIR-NET/ JRF/ ICMR entrance examination.
