I have 41200 rank in wbjee i am getting techno mains electrical should I take it or should I go for direct admission at cse at techno mains or iem.

Anshika Gupta 9th Sep, 2025

With a rank of  41200 at WBJEE, taking Techno Main Electrical is most appropriate option as it's a direct admission through counseling, while direct admission to CSE at Techno Main or IEM might not be possible or it can come with higher costs. Prioritize getting a confirmed seat through your rank through the standard WBJEE counseling process, as CSE admissions are highly competitive, expensive and typically requires a better rank. You can explore direct admission to CSE in a higher-ranked college if available, but if limited to these options, the confirmed seat in Electrical at Techno Main is a better choice than a unavailable or very expensive direct CSE admission.

With a rank of 169 in MSc Biotechnology through CPGET and belonging to the OC (General) category, your chances Seats in Biotechnology are competitive, but a rank within the top 200 gives you a realistic shot, particularly in the later rounds of counselling. Your chances improve further if others ahead of you opt for different courses or colleges. of getting a seat are quite decent, especially if you're open to multiple colleges and not just the top one. I got rank 50 in CPGET 2025 in AIHCA . Will i get the seat

Ankur Mehta 9th Sep, 2025

Congratulations on securing rank 50 in CPGET 2025 under AIHCA. With this rank, your chances of getting a seat are very high because the cutoffs for this course usually go much beyond rank 50. Seat allotment will also depend on the number of seats available in your preferred college and the category you belong to, but overall, with rank 50 you should feel confident about admission. I would suggest you attend counseling on time and keep your options ready for different colleges to make sure you secure a seat without any issues.

My NEET PG2025 AIR rank is 25070 and score is 499. Can I gate a seat in any government college of West Bengal through State quota in general surgery or ortho? I am general category.

Chelsie G 7th Sep, 2025

Hello, with an AIR of 25070 and a score of 499 in NEET PG 2025 under the General category, getting a government seat in West Bengal for highly demanded branches like General Surgery or Orthopedics may be difficult, as these usually close at much higher ranks. However, you still stand a chance for other clinical or para-clinical branches through the state quota counselling. I suggest using the NEET PG college predictor link I’m sharing here, which will give you a clearer idea of the colleges and branches you may get based on your rank and category.

My NEET PG2025 AIR rank is 25070 and score is 499. I am EWS. Can I get general surgery or ortho in any government college through AIQ?

Prachi Kumari 8th Sep, 2025

Hello,

With AIR 25070 and score 499 in NEET PG 2025 under EWS, it is not possible to get MS General Surgery or Orthopaedics in any government college through AIQ.

These branches usually close at much higher ranks (within 12k–15k for General Surgery and even earlier for Orthopaedics).

Your chances in AIQ government quota for these subjects are very slim. You may try in state quota counselling where cut-offs go higher.

Hope it helps !
