Hey there,
Yes, it is absolutely possible. If you're in Class 11 and don't want to write JEE, you can focus on TS EAPCET + IPE and build a career in IT.
For getting good IT opportunities, your priority should be:
- Aim for a strong EAPCET rank — preferably under 10,000, and under 5,000 gives you considerably more options for good colleges/branches.
- Choose CSE/IT or related branches such as AI/ML, Data Science, Cyber Security, etc.
- Keep your CGPA high (8+ ideally) throughout B.Tech.
- Start coding early — Python/C++ → DSA → SQL → Git/GitHub → development/projects.
- Build 2–4 genuine projects and try to get internships before your final year.
- Don't depend entirely on your college placements. Bengaluru companies recruit from many colleges, and your skills, DSA, projects, internships and interview performance can help you get there.
You do not need JEE to work in Bengaluru's IT industry. A good EAPCET rank + a decent B.Tech college + strong technical skills is a completely valid route.
Since you're only in 11th, you have plenty of time. If you tell me your current IPE marks/expected percentage and whether you're OC/BC/SC/ST, I can give you a realistic EAPCET rank target and college strategy for CSE.
Thanks
Nischal
