As you want to pursue B.tech in Aeronautical Engineering, you need to opt for Science stream in your class 11 and 12. You need to go for PCM. You can also for biology or computer science along with PCM but opting for Computer Science would be much more beneficial

I got 229 in met and 73.2% in boards will I get seat in main branch of manipal for aeronautical engineering?

My friend got 398 marks out of 800 and his rank was a little over 4000. So 229 marks out of 800 would not be a pretty good score, to be blunt. But these year the trends may deceive everyone a little bit due to all this chaos and pandemic.

For your rank you can't get seat in good college but you told that you belong to 3a category and have rural quota, So by this reservations you can get seat in good college.

But select properly for good college at the time of councelling....
