Yes, the physical verification process occurs in first round after you register in the official website- http://dgmeup.in
There you have to submit a Demand draft of 30000 rupees for government colleges and 2 lakhs for private colleges as a security money and your original documents are verified.
The process will start soon, the dates are not declared yet.
