can I be a days scholar at bits Hyderabad campus.....I live nearby ??

As a rule, one is not allowed to be a day scholar in the Hyderabad campus of BITS. You need to be a hosteller. But no worries, hostel life is a fun time and you would love every part of it.

Although, in some scenarios like for medical reasons, one can talk to the Associate Dean of the Student Welfare Division and become a day scholar. Although it is permitted only if there is a genuine reason behind it, after a proper meeting with the student's parent or guardian.

IN GENERAL , it is mandatory to aquire the hostel and pay for it at the BITS Hyderabad campus but If you have a genuine reason for not staying at hostel, you can talk to the Associate Dean of the Student Welfare Division and attend college as a day scholar. It will require a full meeting and presence of a parent or guardian. It CAN be done in case you are going through a medical, psychological or a gravely financial issue.CHEERS!!

I’d suggest you not to miss out on the hostel life it has got to offer , IF POSSIBLE.
