Cut off for obc in neet for admission in L.M.pharmacy college

As you may know, LM Pharmacy College is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Admissions to the Bachelor of Pharmacy and Diploma in Pharmacy courses in all Government, Grant-In-Aid and Self Financed Institutions in Gujarat are conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).

Now as per the 2017 admission brochure of the ACPC, admissions to Pharmacy courses in Gujarat were not through the basis of NEET. Infact, candidates had to appear for and clear the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) to qualify.

The merit list for admissions to the Pharmacy courses, including for LM Pharmacy College, Ahmedabad, was prepared by giving weightage to both a candidate’s Class 12 marks and GUJCET marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics. Basically, 60% weightage was given to percentile marks secured by a candidate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology in Class 12 and 40% weightage was given to the percentile marks obtained in same subjects of the GUJCET. Candidates were then admitted to the various Pharmacy college on the basis of this merit list.

Also please note that Gujarat does not have an OBC category for admissions, but one for Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC). As per the available information, the last candidate to secure a seat in LM College of Pharmacy under the SEBC category on the basis of the GUJCET merit list secured a state rank of 950.

It is therefore advisable that if you are planning to apply for admissions to LM Pharmacy College in 2018, perform as best as you can in your Class 12 exams while target a GUJCET rank of within 900. I hope this helps.
