Do Lovely Professional University have Basketball Court?

I am going to answer this question on the bases of the experience shared by one of my cousin as he took admission in LPU on the bases of Sports Scholarship. He is residing in the LPU hostel, so he knows LPU more closely. Talking about the sports facilities , here I am mentioning some of the highlights:

• Firstly talking about the Sports Infrastructure, LPU has the SHANTI DEVI MITTAL INDOOR STADIUM which consist of multifarious facilities under one roof. Volleyball Court, Basket Ball Court, Badminton court, Swimming Pool are some of facilities.
• LPU has 5 field playgrounds consist of Cricket Ground, Hockey Ground, Football Ground.
• LPU has the no. of sports consist of Cricket, Basket Ball, Volleyball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Softball, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, Boxing, Chess, Judo, Handball, Kho-Kho,Weight Lifting & Power Lifting.
• LPU students has represented the India both on national and International Level in the various sports.
• Many famous Sports personalities like M.S Dhoni, The Great Khali,’Dalip Singh Rana, Mr. India' Varinder Ghuman, professional wrestler and body builder, Mr. Satnam Singh, an NBA basketball player from the Dallas Mavericks visited the LPU campus to motivate the students.
• LPU regularly hosts inter as well as intra university sporting tournaments like North zone Chess Competition, AIU North Zone Football Chamionship, Sr State Basketball Championship, Inter School Football Tournament, Annual Sports Meet.
• LPU has the various Sports clubs like Chess Club, Volleyball, Basketball, Kabaddi, softball, wrestling etc . By joining these clubs you can learn the various sports.
• Lovely Professional University also offer the Sports Scholarship also. Under this scholarship, you will have free study and hostel facility. There are some conditions related to the sports Scholarship. For that you can contact the university directly.

I have recently completed MBA from LPU and I would like to state that it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I have learnt a lot throughout this journey and whatever I have achieved in my academic as well as professional life, I owe it all to LPU. I would say,Lovely Professional University is taking many initiatives in sports every year. There is lots of opportunities for students who wants to make their career in the same. Not the basketball team in fact each sports team and individuals are so good and well trained in their respective games and sports.

I can say,Basket ball team is good in Lovely Professional University and students go for practice everyday.For Some students,It is mandatory to go for practice because as they admitted in the University on sports quota basis,They have to mark their attendance in Ground or continuation of scholarship.

If you are selected on sports quota then you will have regular practice for sports or else you can practice on your own.Also, scholarships are given to the students to pursue their dreams in sports if they have already played national level sports in any field.

In outdoor facilities- LPU Main Field 5 playgrounds (157062 Sq m) adjacent to boys’ hostels and girls’ hostels provide immediate access to cricket grounds, football grounds, hockey grounds, basketball courts, boxing rings, volleyball courts, skating zone etc.

Lovely Professional University has one of the largest and advanced ‘Indoor Sports complexes‘. Starting from 20 Badminton Courts, Squash Courts, Shooting Range, Olympic Size Pool, Separate Diving Pool, Wrestling and Boxing Arena, state-of-the-art Gymnasium and many more unmatchable sports ) facilities.

LPU is a big university with beautiful campus surrounded by lush green gardens. It is spread over 600 acres. LPU Campus is just like a city which has a complete mall, hospital ,post office, 100s of food kiosks, fire brigade station, stadiums, helipads, Flyover , 100s of ATMs, banks auditoriums, open air theaters, e- rickshaws, cricket ground, basketball court, indoor swimming pool, badminton court , gym as per Olympics standards.

Facilities provided in Lovely Professional University are Shooting Range, Swimming Pool, Warm up Pool, Badminton Court, Squash Court, Volleyball and Basketball Arena. So, yes it does have a basketball Court.You can also opt for these Indoor Stadium Membership if taken along with Hostels - Rs. 3000/- and if taken separately (i.e. not along with Hostels) - Rs. 6000/-. [For Full Academic Session].
