How can i get admission in ipu in commerce stream,whats the procedure?

As you are from Commerce stream, there are various courses that you can pursue in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, some of them are listed below:

1. BBA (Bachelor of Business Administation)
2. BJ(MC)(Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication)
3. B.A LLB
4. BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)
5. BAC (Fashion and Apparel Design)
6. BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology)

As you have tagged Hospitality and Tourism, I am assuming that you are looking for the details related to BHMCT. To get an admission into BHMCT course at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha Univeristy, you must have passed 12th with at least 50% marks with English as one of the subjects. If you fit in the eligibility criteria, you will have to fill an application form (online mode only) for Common Entrance Test. Only the candidates who qualify CET will be allowed to take admission in the desired course.

Subjects that one needs to study to appear for BHMCT (CET) are:

a) English Language & Comprehension (25%)
b) General Awareness (20%)
c) Logical and Analytical Ability including Computer awareness (30%)
d)  Knowledge of Accounts / Commerce & Science (20%)

Once you qualify CET, you will get admission.

Hi Archana, IPU releases application forms around february of each year. You will have to fill up the form and apply for the IPU Common Entrance Test for B.Com. the application process would end in April and the test would be held around May. The results are usually out in three weeks- if you qualify in the test, you would be called for counselling and admission around June/July. This year's applications for B.Com. ended on the 10th of April and the admission test was held on 5th of May. For any further queries do reply back. Good Luck :)
