The coding culture at SVNIT Surat is great . There are various clubs through which you can learn a lot. There are codeathons/Hackathons conducted by various clubs where people from all around the colleges comes for the competition. The companies which visit the campus for placements are also great in number .

Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Salesforce,D.E Shaw , Paypal and many more tech giants comes for placements. The average package for cse branch is above 22L which is really encouraging.

It is same like everywhere. You won't be able to practice much in class. But if you want good placement with handsome package than you need to do competitive programming by your own. You need to practice lot. Use platforms like codechef, codeforces, hackerrank etc..
