Scholarship Categories:

Scholarships are awarded to candidates based on their performance on any of the following categories:

1. Eligibility Qualification/ Qualification previous to Eligibility Qualification : (for example 10+2 for Undergraduate Programmes and graduation for PG Programmes). The scholarship will also be offered on the basis of qualification previous to Eligibility qualification. For example, someone seeking admission in B.Tech can seek scholarship on the basis of 10+2 (Eligibility Qualification) or 10th (Qualification previous to 10+2). Augmenting support to deserving candidates, LPU has further expanded the scholarship bracket to even facilitate candidates scoring a minimum of 70% marks during the COVID-19 pandemic national lockdown period.

2. Certain National Level Tests (like JEE (Main), NEET, UCEED, CAT, MAT, GATE, GPAT etc.)

3. LPUNEST: (LPU National Entrance & Scholarship Test)

4. Performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Service and Bravery Awards

5. Special Scholarships and/or Fee Concessions

   • For Ph.D. Applicants (Scholarship phases as mentioned below are not applicable)
   • Defence and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel and their dependants
   • Toppers of Education Board
   • Scholarship for Orphan Applicants
   • Scholarship for Person with Certain Disability

As per my knowledge and latest search for 2020 admission session I come to know f ollowing are few criteria for grant of scholarship.

1. Based on LPUNEST
2. Based on percentage (After 10th/ 12th/ Graduation/ Lateral Entry)
3. Based on qualification previous to eligibility qualification
4. Based on National Level Test (JEE (Mains/ NEET/ NATA/ CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ NMAT/ GATE/ GPAT/ CLAT/ UCEED/ SPM/ JRF/ NET (LS))
5. Basis on Sports/ Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Services and Bravery Awards
6. Scholarship to Defence, CAPF personnel and their dependents
7. Special Scholarship to Toppers of Education Boards
8. Scholarship to Orphan Applicants/ Person with Certain Disability
9. COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship for wards of Doctors, Nurses, Media personnel, Police personnel, Bank employees, and many more.

1. COVID-19 FRONTLINE Scholarship scheme worth Rs 20 Crores, to honor the selfless contribution of the COVID-19 frontline warriors (I. e. Doctors, Nurses, Para-medical staff, Civic staff, Police personnel and many more) during the time of pandemic breakout through a special scholarship to their wards
2. Scholarship on the basis of Percentage in qualifying exam/ Qualification previous to Eligibility Qualification
3. Scholarship on the basis of LPUNEST
4. Scholarship on the basis of Performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular and Social Service Bravery Awards.
5. Special Scholarships and Fee Concessions:Fee Concession for Defense and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel and their dependents.

7.Scholarship on the basis of Nation level entrance exams like JEE MAINS.

For JEE MAINS the scholarships are assigned as per the percentile of the candidate.

80 to 85%ile  = 20% Scholarship

85 to 90%ile  = 25% Scholarship

90%ile plus  = 35%  Scholarship.

The scholarships will be applicable if you submit your documents.

Moreover, if at all you fall in the lower brackets, you have an option to apply for LPUNEST and increase it by performing better.

But these high brackets are available only till 20th september, post that, it may be reduced or even phased out.

As per my knowledge,Whaetver scholarship will be awarded at the time of admision will be conitune till the last semester until and unless you are not involved in any misconduct etc.

that fully depends upon the college that you are choosing or the college that is being allot to you, many collegesand gftis are providing scholarship to all the student whose rank is below 1lakh in jee mains and in other hand many college do not provide scholarship to even AIR 1.

the scholar may very like providing money support, or deduction in semester fee even that can be like for 2 sem 3sem...and all.
