How to get Admission in Thapar University (BTech) ?? Do we need to give jee for that?? is there any entrance exam by Thapar University??

Yes, it is mandatory to have appeared in JEE Mains exam to get admission in Thapar Institute. There are two criteria for getting admission in TIET. One is on the basis of your JEE score and the other one is on the basis of your 12th class percentage. 70% of the total seats for BE/BTECH course will be filled on the basis of JEE main score you must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in the aggregate of three subjects, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Technical Vocational subject. And the rest 30% seats will be filled on the basis of 10+2 marks in PCM merit or equivalent examination in the aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject. Hello dear

There is no separate exam for Thapar University. It give admission on basis of your 12th percentage and it must be more than 75% and you must have attempted jee mains. So ofcourse you need to give jee mains for taking admission in Thapar college and for this you have to register for the application process on the official website.

If you want to take admission in thapar university for BTech it will be done on the basis of the marks you will obtain in JEE mains and you 10 + 2 PCM score in boards. and if you want to take admission in BTech biotechnology or biomedical engineering then your neet score will be counted and the marks of class 12th PCB in boards . No, there is not any separate exam for the admission in thapar university for BTech course, admission in thapar University specially for engineering side is done on the basis of JEE mains score, and another mode is via 12th class  score, University release separate merit list for both mode.
