Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University(GGSIPU) is a state university, located in Delhi, which was established in the year 1998. At present, It offers UG, PG, Ph.D. and Diploma programs in various disciplines.
In the field of medical education, the University offers both MBBS and BDS courses. Earlier the University conducted a separate entrance test for admission to the MBBS and BDS programs. However, after introduction ofNEETexam, the University now takes admission toMBBS and BDScourses on the basis of marks scored in theNEETexam.
The eligibility for admission to MBBS and BDS course is the same as eligibility requirement for NEET exam, i.e., 10+2 or HSC examination with Biology as one of the main subjects of study. To apply for counselling procedure, candidates will have to fill an online application form available at the University website.

The basic eligibility criteria to apply for MBBS and BDS courses is a 10+2 or equivalent degree in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and Englishfrom a recognized board of education. The candidates must also have scored a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology together. Other eligibility requirements are:
ApplicationCandidates with a valid score inNEETonly are eligible to apply for the course.Candidate must be medically fit.Candidates should be Indian/ Nepal Citizen. Non-Resident Indians are not eligible to apply for admission.Students age should have completed minimum 17 years of age as on December 31 of theyear of admission.For SC/ST/OBC category, candidatesmust obtain relaxation in age of 5 years.

The application for Counselling process at IP Univesrity is an online process. The registration form for counselling process will be available online on the university website www.ipu.ac.in
There is an entrance test/counselling fees of INR 1000/-. Fees should be paid online through Net Banking /Credit Card and Debit Card or by cash in any branch of Indian Bank. Incomplete application form will be rejected and no request will be entertained afterwards.

BDS & MBBS
The selection for admission to MBBS and BDS courses at GGSIPU is based on the marks scored by a candidate inNEETexamination. NEET, or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a national-level exam conducted by CBSE for admission to undergraduate medical and dental colleges.
While registration, a candidate is required to provide their respective NEET exam details. Based on the score and rank in NEET exam, applicants are then called for a counselling session. The University conducts rank-wise counselling, hence it is important for candidates to get a good rank in NEET exam.
Selected candidates will go through medical examination by the medical board. Only those candidates will be admitted who are certified to be medically fit. If a candidate is found to be medically unfit then their selection will be rejected.
Counselling process:
Candidates will be called for counselling according to the order of rank in the merit listStudents must bring the original certificates and one set of photocopy duly attested by Gazetted Officer or from Principal of School last attended or self-attested.To ensure the candidates eligibility the head of the institution again verifies the original documents and they shall be returned to the candidate.Candidates who will be admitted during 1stcounselling must report at the college within two working days of admission. If the candidate fails to report then admission of the candidate will be cancelled.Candidates are advised to bring all the necessary documents at the time of counselling which are as following:Call letter of counselling (original and photocopy)Demand draft of admission fee (original and photocopy)Admit card or rank cardHealth strength documentOriginal document of class 10thand 12th(2 photocopies)

One seat for physically handicapped candidates will be filled on the basis of merit from any region.Physically handicapped candidates are required to submit valid disability certificate from the Vocational Rehabilitation CentreCatgeory wise different seats will be reserved for the candidates. There may be changes in the reservation of seats according to the Government of India.
