Excellent profile you have. It will literally be a shame if you don't get into a top IIM. Give it your best and try to score as high as you can.
Regarding percentile for getting a call into the next round:
IIM A -99.6+
IIM B - 99+
IIM C - 99.2+
IIM L - 98.7+
IIM K - 98.2+
IIM S - 97 +
IIM I - 97+
These figures are only estimates based on previous year trends and should not be taken as sacrosanct.
All the best!
Mavilla you have very good academic records and an ideal work experience of 2-years to pursue MBA degree. These parameters will help you in getting calls from top IIMs as CAT percentile is not the only parameter. After CAT exam every IIM prepares a merit list to call students for next round of interview based on your aggregate score which comprises of many parameters such as CAT marks, 10th, 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non-engineer, gender whose weight varies for all different IIMs.
If you are able to score a very high percentile like 99.7+ then you will have a good probability of getting called for the second round of WAT and interview from top 3 IIMs i.e. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta. If you are able to score above 98+ percentile you will have a good probability of getting calls from other old IIMs like IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore, IIM Shillong and with 95+ percentile you can definitely get calls from all the new IIMs and ultra new IIMs.
Once you get the calls from any IIM then you need to go through the second round of WAT and interview. Your performance in this round matter a lot for your selection because after this round again a new merit list is made on the basis of the new aggregate score which also consists of WAT and interview marks which generally have the highest weightage along with CAT marks. If you will be able to get your name on this merit list then you can definitely get admission in the college.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries. All the best!!
