I performed poorly in my nee mains 2019 and scored 28000 general and 6800 OBC rank. Will I be able to get EC branch in any NITs.

Sorry but it is not possible for you to get Electronics and Communication (ECE)branch in any of the NITs. You should thus, prefer searching for other options rather than NITs, because even if you get any NIT(not ECE branch though), it won't be at par with other options that you may probably get, which are the private institutions that admit on the basis of JEE mains' score. See with this rank I doubt you can get into any top 3 nit in ECE but surely in rest you can get into with this score .you can also check previous year trend and check for yourself on the following link
