if i dont attempt the april mains then will my all india rank will be the one which i will obtain in jan attempt?

If you prefer not to attempt in april then your overall rank as well a category rank will be determined based on percentile you scored in January attempt.
Your rank will be finalized and displayed only after the completion of april examination.
It makes much sense to appear for april attempt as well because you can better your score and why miss an opportunity when you have one?

Hello Nikita! See, if you are not able to give jee mains in april then the marks you got in your january attempt will be considered for providing you a percentile according to your marks. Then this percentile will be considered for your ranking when the results will be declared after the january attempt. The students who will be giving their paper two times will obviously be having two percentiles and the best percentile of the two will be condsiderd and then according to percentiles, rank will be provided to each and every student after the april attempt. If you qualify even one of the exam, you can choose from various colleges under jee mains according to their respective cut offs.
