Hi ananya ,
To get admission into any prestigious college of engineering like nits or iiits atleast a candidate should have a percentage of 75 in his or her 12th boards .
This is the minimum qualifing criteria for any aspirant to get seat into any nit.
Hope it helps!!!

As per the JOSSa rules, the minimum eligibility criteria for grabbing a seat in NITs or IITs is 75% in your 12th boards. Sometimes, with less than 75%, students get admission in NITs, if your rank is good enough. Definitely, there are some benefits of having decent marks in 12th. It helps in your placements, as many companies who allows students having 70 or 75% in 12th to sit for their placement round.
