No the eligibility criteria is 50% marks in 12th standard but you do have to take IPU CET entrance exam to get admission in IP college.

As per the information available criteria for IPU is :

Candidates must have secured at least 55% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology, provided the candidates has passed in each subject individually .

Candidates must have also studied and passed in English in their 10+2 .
- Candidates must not be more than 21 years as on August 1, 2019 .
So you need to score greater than 55% and for admission in nit you need to secure 75%
