The study of Engineering Physics emphasizes the application of basic scientific principles to the design of equipment, which includes electronic and electro-mechanical systems, for use in measurements, communications, and data acquisition. Engineering Physics is a study of basic scientific principles in designing an equipment that includes electronics, electro-mechanical systems that is used in measurements, communications as well as acquisition of data. Engineering Physics is a unique branch of engineering discipline with a combination of physics, mathematics, electrical engineering and other advanced technology subjects. Graduates in Engineering Physics are provided with a strong base in the science & physics with engineering.

Speaking strictly about DTU, there is quite a bit of scope in pursuing Engineering Physics. But do remember that Engineering Physics (EP) is a totally different ball game than the physics that you have been studying till now. If it is Physics that you are interested in look into courses in Theoretical Physics like the ones offered by IISc.
