No. Not at all. Eligibilty criteria for Biotechnology is 60% in Physics, Chemistry with either maths or biology. Maths is not compulsory.

But Sir, this Eligibility Conditions is mentioned in Admission Brochure...Is it right???plz urgent rply mee. Eligibility Conditions: Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology,provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination.CET CODE-130
Most of the colleges have the criteria that I specified. But some colleges have different views. Like the one you shared shows either biology or BioTech. Now say who studies biotech in 10+2 in Indian curriculum? It will be a controversial question which can never be answered. So, some colleges need it some don't.
