Hello Student,
Yes, MHT-CET and MHT-CET Law are different entrance examinations.
- MHT-CET (PCM/PCB) is mainly for courses such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, etc.
- MAH-LLB 5-Year CET (MHT-CET Law) is for admission to the 5-year integrated law courses, including BA LL.B .
Since you have completed Class 12 with PCB and want to pursue BA LL.B., you should appear for the MAH-LLB 5-Year CET, provided you meet the applicable eligibility requirements. Your PCB background does not prevent you from applying for the 5-year law course.
For the MAH-LLB 5-Year CET, you generally need to prepare for areas such as:
Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning
- General Knowledge and Current Affairs
- Logical and Analytical Reasoning
- English
- Basic Mathematics
So, if your goal is admission to a 5-year BA LL.B. course in Maharashtra through the state law admission process, MHT-CET Law/MAH-LLB 5-Year CET is the relevant exam, not the regular PCM/PCB MHT-CET.
Best Wishes for your examination preparation!
