Yes, Of course you must definetly attend the counselling conducted by JeeMain(Josaa). Their is good chance of getting a seat under NIT or IIIT for you. You can refer this link for choice filling:

You can get normal NIT
On basis of home state you will get into NIT (Home state)
You can go for DTU easily .If you not get in first round of counseling than also you can easily and to get in 2nd or 3 rd round of counseling
