As the placement session of 2017–18 is concerned, NIT Srinagar is definitely lagging from other NITs due to Conditional was not well here Since July 2017-Nov 2017 and somehow Campus Recruitment Coordinators (CRCs) managed to arrange placements drives at NIT Delhi or somewhere else. Highest Placement package was 13.5 LPA and the average placement package was approximately equal to 5 point something LPA.

Every year over 80% of students of NIT Srinagar get placed in big companies . The placement record is quite good.
