You have less chances in NITs based on your rank in other state quota.
Can you tell me your home state?
NITs and IIITs are better than comedk. It's your wish whether you want to appear for comedk or not but you should appear for the exam to keep the options with you.

Go for comedk because by jee main score you can't get better colleges
