What is the admission procedure for Masters of Physiotherapy?
The minimum eligibility criteria to apply forPG courseadmissions is such that candidates should be graduates in their field of study from a recognised college/university.
Admission in courses offered at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is on the basis ofentrance exam as well as merit.
Candidates can secure admission in undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD programmes offered at the varsity on the basis of their performance inJawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE). The varsity conducts another entrance exam calledJawaharlal Nehru University Combined Entrance Examination (JNU CEEB)to secure admission in MTech Biotechnology, MSc Biotechnology and MSc (Agri) Biotechnology and MVSc programmes.
Candidates can fill JNU application form for admission in the course of their preferenceonlineon the official website of the University.
Separate application forms need to be filled for the entrance exams, JNUEE and JNU CEEB, conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University to offer admission in courses offered at the varsity.
The application fee needs to be paid by means of a Demand Draft (DD) that is drawn in favour of Jawaharlal Nehru University and should be payable at New Delhi.

Master’s in Physiotherapy is a 2-year full-time program, imparted using a variety of teaching/ learning techniques, including lectures, case discussions, practical exercises, lab work, field visits, seminars, journal clubs, collaborative learning, group discussions, assignments, hands-on training, internship, and dissertation. The course follows the semester system. The mode of admission is an Entrance Examination which is conducted either on any of State, university, and national levels.
Aspiring candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree in any Health Science discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. The average fees charged for the course in India ranges between INR 2 and 7 Lacs.
The admission is purely based on merit obtained in the common entrance examination conducted by institutes offering the course- both MS and MDS programs. Candidates qualifying the written examination are called for rounds of counselling and interview.
Selection of applicants is based on educational qualification, marks obtained in university exams/ any PG entrance exams, work experience, and performance in rounds of personal interview and group discussion.
Often, scholarships for pursuance of MPT are awarded to deserving and meritorious candidates, subject to availability of funds.
