The cumulative fee that one pays for a seat through COMED-K in BMSCE is 1,60,000/-. This include Tution Fees, Administrative Charges, Exam Fees, Misc. Fees, etc.

The BMS Hostel and Mess are quite expensive.

There are different blocks in the hostel. However, as a fresher, you don’t get to choose a block. The blocks are allotted according to the marks you have scored in your 12th Class or II PU. The fees for the hostel is around 58000/- (the NH and the MH block). However, if you have taken hostel, it is mandatory to pay for Mess as well. The fees for Mess is around 55000/- (5k more for Non-veg food). In addition to this, there will be a security deposit of 25000/- for a fresher.

The Mess is overpriced. Also, the Mess has a no-refund policy, which means even if you didn’t had food for some days, the amount will not be returned to you.

Therefore, the hostel and mess fees would be 1.15LPA approximately.

Businayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah College of Engineering (BMS): The college is an autonomous engineering college in Basavangudi, Bangalore, India. It also has Evening college (BMSECE), a non autonomous college, which comes under VTU. The engineering college, started in 1946 by B. M. Sreenivasiah, was the first private sector initiative in technical education in India and is run by the BMS Educational Trust. The college was affiliated with Bangalore University until 1998. It was affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University from 1998 to 2008, and became autonomous in 2008.
