As per the eligibility criteria of JIPMER in terms of age limit, candidates who will attain the age of 17 years by December 31, 2019, will be deemed eligible for the entrance exam. Till now, there is no upper age limit to appear for the exam and is not likely to be introduced.

To question your answer regarding the cut off rank for MBBS and BDS course, then you must note that JIPMER does not offer BDS course. For MBBS course, if belonging to UR category, the cutoff rank is close to 110. There are 150 seats offered by JIPMER Puducherry and 50 seats by JIPMER Karaikal among which 55 and 19 seats are available for unreserved category candidates respectively. In the year 2018, candidates with rank up to 592 were invited for the first round of counselling. Note that mere invitation for the counselling process does not imply that the admission is ensured. While in the year 2017, the closing rank to obtain admission was 112 in Puducherry and 133 in Karaikal.

Please take into account that before the release of the result the cutoff rank cannot be predicted and the previous year rank just serves as an estimation.

According to JIPMER MBBS 2018 eligibility criteria, candidate must have completed or must complete at least 17 years of age as on or before December 31, 2018. Also, There was no upper age limit for JIPMER MBBS 2018.
