For getting in national institute of technology or indian institute of technology you have to score at lest 75% aggreate for general and obc category and For SC/ St student have 65% in your hsc board examination otherwise you cannot get iits or nits you are talking about vnit is viveshwara national institute of technology it is prestigious college it is situated in nagpur .

Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, also known to as NIT Nagpur is a premier public engineering and research institution in India.
VNIT offers various Graduate and Postgraduate courses such as B. Tech, B.Arch, M. Tech and M.Sc along with Ph.D. program in various disciplines. Candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of VNIT.
Admission process for the various courses at VNIT are as follows:
VNIT Nagpur B.Tech/B.Arch Admission 2019
VNIT Nagpur offers the B.Tech degree under eight different specialization along with the B.Arch. degree. The B.Tech courses are offered for a duration of four years, whereas, the B.Arch course is offered for a duration of five years.
A total number of 644 seats are available for the B.Tech courses spread across various specializations and 62 seats are available for the B.Arch course.
Admission to the B.Tech and B.Arch courses are based on the results of the candidates in JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) and the shortlisted candidates as per the JEE results are invited for the counseling round conducted at VJTI campus.
50% of the seats in the B.Tech and B.Arch courses are reserved for the students of Maharashtra.
