Hello,
The maximum age limit to apply for admission to M.Tech varies depending on the institute and the entrance exam through which you are applying to get admission to M.Tech Computer Science Engineering. The age criteria will be given in the notification of the entrance exam or admission. As you haven't mentioned the exam or institute in which you wish to get admission it is quite difficult to specify the eligibility criteria. You need to check the eligibility criteria before applying for admission or entrance examination.
Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
Officially there is no age limit to pursue M.Tech. It depends on the candidate and his expectations from the program. Generally you will find people between age 22 to 30 pursuing M.Tech.
But if you want to do Masters to attain a qualification for meeting a eligibility for a job, then age might be important. Notifications released for recruiting the Masters students comes with an age limit.
If it is not for building a career, then you are OK to do Masters at any age.
Now since PhD is mandatory to apply for the post of Assistant Professor at most of the Central and State universities, the average age of M.Tech may be around 25. This is because the age to apply for Assistant Professor post is 35 years so it gives good amount of time to complete PhD and Postdoc as well before applying for job.
If academics is not your end destination and you want to work in industry then age will not be a factor for M.Tech.
