why do we need to write comedk exam when we have kcet?

Writing KCET or COMEDK UGET is completely upto you. There is no compusion for anyone to write both. However, let me tell you that KCET is conducted for admission to over 220 Government, Government-funded, Aided, Private, PA, PUA, ML, MR type of engineering colleges in the state, while COMEDK UGET is held by a consortium wherein the entrance exam is held for admission to over 160 private engineering institutes in the state. COMEDK UGET is conducted for admission to only private engineering colleges of Karnataka.
