Like you want to take admission in bcom or bba or bca programs then entrance exam which is lpunest is not mandatory but if you want to take admission in btech bca hons bba hons or bcom hons or any other hons program then yes lpunest is mandatory.

Scholarship Brackets:

Hi Dear, LPUNEST is mandatory to qualify if you want to get admission in Lovely Professional University.
However this year, the requirements have been relaxed a bit, now JEE MAINS is also being considered for the same.
Whereas, you can get direct admission into the program if you have scored over 90% aggregate marks in the 12th class with Maths, Physics and English must be studied as a subject.

It basically depends on the programme in which you are interested and want to apply for.

There is direct admission to some courses and in some its mandatory to qualify the LPUNEST exam and in some, LPUNEST exam + Interview. There are courses 200+ programme like Engineering, Honours programme whose eligibility in the qualifying exam is 60%, some, it is 55% and for others, it is 50% .

Even if you are getting direct admission in the branch you desire to opt, you can give the LPUNEST exam for scholarship. There are different scholarship slabs available depending on your performance in the exam. The best thing is if you get the scholarship, the fees after getting scholarship will be applicable every semester. The last date of admission to avail maximum scholarship is 31st May 2020.

Direct admission indicates that the candidate has to qualify the minimum percentage criteria and need not to appear for any kind of entrance exam. So, you should check the eligibility of the programme and if you are satisfying the eligibility conditions you can apply directly without any entrance exam. Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test, also known as LPUNEST, is conducted by Lovely Professional University (LPU). LPU NEST, a university level examination, is held once every year to admit candidates for the various programmes available in the university.

LPUNEST is an entrance test which is conducted by the University. Other than this some national level entrance test marks also acceptable like NATA for B.Arch, JEE for Engineering, CLAT and LSAT for LAW, MAT, CAT & CMAT for MBA and NEET for BSc Agriculure.
