About the course
The Bachelor of
Financial and Investment Analysis is a six-semester professional degree programme for those interested in the Indian financial markets. You could work with investment companies, capital markets, foreign exchange dealers, banks, mutual fund operations, insurance sector or finance companies. The rationale behind this course is to introduce students to the subject before they take it up at the MBA level as an elective. The thrust of the programme is on exposing students to real-time business problems, through three years of rigorous industry training, which runs simultaneously with theory classes. Papers covered in this course range from introduction to business and finance, to areas like corporate taxation, auditing, corporate restructuring, merchant banking, investment analysis and portfolio management.
Internships, a must
Typically, students undertake eight to ten weeks of summer training at the end of the fourth semester to gain exposure to the real world.

After the course, an individual can pursue a career in various fields like
Banking,
Economics, Investments, Equity Research Analysis, Financial Accounting & Auditing, Auditing & Cost Accounting, Company Secretarial Practice, Foreign Trade Practice & Procedures. So, study of one particular field can’t satisfy the industry demand. From employment point of view student must have knowledge of each and every field to make their career bright, says Dr Puja Singhal. The highest packages offered to graduates are in excess of Rs10 lakhs, with average packages of over Rs. 5.5 lakhs. This obviously is in accordance with the top ranked institutes where the students studied.
