Which is better option for ECE : IIIT Delhi or IIIT Allahabad ?

Abhishek Roy 11th Oct, 2020

IIIT Allahabad is better than IIIT Delhi as far as ECE is concerned, secondly you get the Government IIIT Tag. Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi, is a private institute and doesnt have the same International and National Outlook, Faculty and Infrastructure as IIIT Allahabad. Peer competition and coding environment is excellent at IIIT Allahabad, no wonder it ranks among the top 10 Institutes of the country when Placements are discussed. Median Package at IIIT Allahabad lies anywhere between 15-20 LPA and the institute claims more than 90% Placement.Companies like Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Amazon and Google are regular recruiters at IIIT Allahabad. Secondly away from hustle and bustle of a metro city, IIIT Allahabad provides an excellent study environment and college life.

what should I choose environmental science and engineering(dual) at IIT bombay or Environmental engineering at IIT (ISM) dhanbad or civil IIT delhi as per placement is considered?

rachanapbennur 7th Oct, 2020

Hello Isha!

As of these branches are considered, I would suggest Civil Engineering. Civil Engineering is one of the core engineering branches and the placement record is definitely better than environmental branches. Job opportunities are very less for environmental branch out in the industry. Since IIT Delhi is an excellent college to study, it is a safer option also.

I have done my graduation in zoology and currently pursuing my masters in environmental studies(final year), which degree I should mention as my qualifying degree for environmental science and engineering subject? and whether ecology or environmental science will be better for me?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 25th Sep, 2020

hi,

see the eligibility criteria for gate exam is candidates need to have bachelors degree of 4 years in technology or in relevant field or 2 years  masters course in relevant discipline. however students who are in final year of their bachelors or masters course are eligible to apply. so I suggest you to give your masters course as latest degree. since you have bachelors course of 3 years duration I guess, you have to give msc course as your latest qualification.
