There are three channels available for admission into IISERs:

KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana),
IIT JEE (Advanced)
SCB (State and Central Boards).

Candidates who have cleared their Class XII in Science stream are eligible to apply for IISER entrance exam 2018.As per IISER entrance exam pattern there are a total of 60 objective questions that candidates need to complete in three hours duration.

Yes,medical student can take admission in iiser.

There are 3 ways to get admitted in an IISER .

1) Either you giver KVPY SA or SB or SX -:Candidates having a valid KVPY fellowship commencing from 2019-20 academic session are eligible to apply for admissions. Additional cut-off criteria are applicable.

2) JEE Advance-: If you have a good rank you can get admission in IISER

3) SCB Stream-:F or admission in IISER through SCB you have to appear in IAT entrance exam. And only those candidate are eligible for entrance who have appeared/passed class 12 exam with science stream and and they must obtain minimum cutoff percentage of their respective board.
