I dont known about srm but as a faculty at LPU, I can share the eligibility at LPU. 80 percentile in jee mains can get direct admission, howere, you can also give LPUNEST exam to qualify for admissions in engineering in LPU. for more detail check the website.

How much percentile srm consider I am not aware but as I have so many friends from LPU so accordingly I can tell looking into their admission process.

As per my knowledge in 2020 admisison session B.tech programme eligibility says: Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 12th (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or In case student scored more than or equal to 90%  in 12th , or 90 percentile in  JEE Mains then LPUNEST is exempted

In case you have scored in jee exam 80 or above then it can help you to give benefits of scholarship also.

In whole, LPU not put mandatory condition to clear jee exam to be part of its engineering programme but one need to clear LPUNEST to get into it's engineering course.

The Admission to LPU is primarily done through LPUNEST which is being organized in a remotely proctored node this year. Although the JEE MAINS candidates can also apply if their percentile is above 80.

The admission in SRM Chennai is done on the basis of SRMJEE which is conducted in the month of May. You can fetch a seat in any of the SRM campuses through SRMJEE.

Please note that LPUNEST also acts as scholarship test too. The scholarships through LPUNEST at present vary between 20% to 35% of program fee applicable throughout the duration of the program.

As per the admissions 2020 The Eligibility for B.Tech is 60% in 10+2 with (English, Physics & Mathematics ) will have to appear in LPU NEST whereas those who have scored 90% in +2 or scored 90 percentile in JEE Mains are exempted from LPU NEST and moreover LPU has been ranked top 80 amongst all private and government institutions by NIRF, MHR, GOI. For admission in LPU, LPU conducts its own entrance test LPUNEST for admission in various courses.

Srm conducts it's own Entrance exam, SRMJEE and on that basis only you are given admission in SRM and it's other branches. JEE Mains Marks is not considered by SRM.

Coming to LPU then yes LPU also conducts it's own Entrance, NEST but it also consider JEE mains with 80+ marks.
