Hello, It's Prachi Right now I am in 5th semester of BA(Hons.) Political Science from DU SOL. I am preparing for SSC CGL. But at the same time i have decided a Plan B and it is JRF/UGC-NET for which i want to do regular Post graduation. That's why i will give CUET-PG. So please give me your reviews.

You are already pursuing BA (Hons.) Political Science from School of Open Learning University of Delhi , preparing for SSC CGL , and keeping UGC-NET/JRF as a backup. Doing a regular MA through CUET-PG can strengthen that backup plan significantly.

What I like about your plan:

• SSC CGL preparation and Political Science overlap in areas such as polity, governance, international relations, and current affairs.
• A regular MA gives you better academic exposure, faculty interaction, seminars, and research opportunities than distance mode.
• If SSC doesn't work out, you can target:
  • UGC-NET
  • JRF
  • PhD
  • Assistant Professor positions
  • Research organizations and think tanks

For Political Science, a regular MA from a good university is definitely more valuable than another distance degree if your goal is JRF/academia.

A realistic roadmap:

• Continue SSC CGL preparation seriously.
• Appear for CUET-PG.
• Target good universities for MA Political Science such as:
  • University of Delhi
  • Jawaharlal Nehru University
  • Banaras Hindu University
  • Jamia Millia Islamia
  • University of Hyderabad
