Hi,i would like to know that is there any option for paper based exam in UGC NET DEC 2018,apart from CBT??

Hi Sana,

From December 2018 the responsibilities of organizing the exam were handed over to the National Testing Agency. NTA changed the certain rules regarding the exam. one was related with the changing exam mode. From December 2018 it was clear that exam will be held only in online mode.

Paper pencil mode was abolished.

Hello Sana,

UGC NET Dec exam will be conducted in computer based mode only. The exam will be conducted between December 9 to 23 in two shifts each day on Saturday and Sunday.

The UGC NET Exam is a Computer Based Test that is conducted every year two times for the candidates having interest in the lectureship and Research program. If we talk about the Exam pattern of National Eligibility Test the Exam is conducted in two phases UGC NET Paper 1 and Paper 2. The NET Exam paper 1 is based on General Aptitude test whereas the UGC NET Paper 2 s based on Subject wise. The Subject in which you have completed master’s program.

The NET Paper 1 has 50 questions of 2 marks each whereas there is no negative marking. The Time to solve the UGC NET Paper 1 is 60 minutes. The NET Paper 2 is based on the subject there are 100 questions in this section whereas the time limit to appear in this exam is 120 minutes. The Questions asked in this section is from the Subject that you choose while filling the Application form for UGC NET Exam and had completed the master’s program
