how is internet (wifi) at Lovely professional university

In LPU you’ll never worry about the Internet, Well the above speed is not for students, students get around 8 Mbps. LPU’s wifi is very strong that is up to 500 Mbps it was very fast but this much speed you’ll find in admission block but don’t worry hostels and campus too have very fast wireless and in hostels students also have the option of JIONET too.

LPU is a well-connected campus, a peak bandwidth of 600 Mbps is available in the campus, a wide number of modems or wifi hotspots are available in all blocks, the campus has more than 70 km of optical fibre distributed over its vast area!

Students and faculty will log in to the wifi using their ID numbers.

I had words with LPU alumni and he told me how this facility helped him to complete his studies without any hassle.

Wi-Fi facility is provided without any extra cost at LPU.Students have LAN ports at their hostel dorms for better connectivity. Internet connectivity for scheduled timings through a Wi-Fi system for academic purposes is available at the campus through the leased line of 650 Mbps. At LPU there are thousands of WiFi modems installed over the campus in hostels, in every block,library,gym and many other places.Students don'tneed to buy an independent dongle at any time for their usage rest it's own choice of students. They usually surf their notes on the internet and hardly find any buffering or inconvenience in its usage. LPU faculty,staff and students can work all day on the internet through campus Wi-Fi without any hassle.

Internet connectivity for scheduled timings through Wi-Fi system for academic purposes is available at campus through leased line of 650 Mbps. Intranet facility is also available through which students can view the UMS, Academic records & results, Online Study material etc.

All telecom networks are working well here, it could be Airtel, BSNL, Reliance, Jio, Vodafone and Idea. Currently, I am using two networks one is Jio and the other one is Airtel and i must say both are working pretty well in LPU.

Thus there is no need to worry about networks in Lovely Professional University. Apart from telecom networks, Lovely Professional University has university WiFi and Wireless inside the campus and hostels which work really great in terms of connectivity and speed. Also, there are JioNet Services available in the Departments and the hostels in case you need to have a network requires more than your daily data consumptions.
