Admission to IISER is conducted through three channels:
- Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) – Candidates under this channel are given admission on based on valid KVPY fellowship.
- JEE channel – Candidates who have qualified JEE Advanced are eligible for direct admisson
- State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) channel - Candidates opting for this channel would have to appear in an entrance exam conducted by the institute.
