If you are not opted for gate and even if you write the VIT and clear the cutoff and you can definetly get a seat in VIT and you should also follow the councelling procedure in order to get a seat , so all the best for your future

If you will not appeared for gate your result will not be published.If you check your result it shows you absent.So,if you are absent for exam ,you are not considered as eligible for admissions.

There is no relation between gate and Vit entrance exam for Mtech(commonly known as VITMEE).If you want to give VIT entrance exam(commonly known as VITMEE) for Mtech then you must have secured 60 % in graduation otherwise you are not eligible .
