I got 83 %tile in jee mains. I want to take admission in THAPAR in ECI whose 1st round cutoff in 87%tile is there any chance of me in any R.

Since the cut off of first list of GENO is EIC branch is 86.59 percentile, and as you've got 83% percentile, chances are you might get the branch EIC in second or third counseling. Wait for the lists to come out, but very likely you'll get the desired branch in your desired college. All the best.
