There are many colleges that offer fee waiver for meritorious students coming from an economically weak background. Even in IITs and NITs, fee waiver benefit is given to students on the basis of certain grounds.
You need to show the proof of income to avail the benefit. As far as NITs are concerned, most of them have different fee structure for economically weak students.
