IIT Kanpur and IIT kharagpur are old IITs with good facilities and well established department. In terms of research, IIT Kanpur is slightly better than IIT kharagpur. Precisely speaking, there is no comparison between these two! Master's from both the IITs is equally good. But if you are getting IIT Kanpur for masters in chemical engineering then grab it! It's your call!
